Regional Sales Manager

We are seeking energetic, driven insurance professionals to lead a group of new sale people that are employed by our customers and enrolled in a 24-30 month intensive sales and insurance training program designed to bring new hires into our industry and develop them into elite sales professionals. Responsibilites include recruiting, training, performance management and making joint sales calls. Must have bachelor's degree, excellent communication skills, high energy and a history of success. At least 50% of time will be spent on teh road with customers and sales people so candidates must be able to do overnight trips within the US.

50/50 Program

We are seeking energetic, driven, and dynamic recent college graduates for an elite training and development program. Our program is designed to bring recent college graduates and new people into the industry in entry level sales positions at retail insurance agencies and professional wholesalers. Our goal is to develop these candidates into premier sales people who can drive new business opportunities into our customers’ offices. We have positions available in a variety of states. No experience is needed as we will train you. Each participant receives a custom training and development plan and works closely with a dedicated sales manager to ensure that they are learning the insurance business and developing their sales skills. Applicants should have a college degree, demonstrate strong communication, analytical and organization skills and have the ability to work independently and compete in a fast paced environment. Positions include:

  • Marketing Representative - This outside sales position consists of conducting 20 face to face meetings with insurance agents each week to build relationships and drive new business into the wholesale company through online and phone quoting systems. Candidates will be responsible for planning effective meetings with existing customers and new prospects. Candidates must possess excellent time management skills and follow up skills. 80% of time is spent on the road visiting customers. Occasional overnight travel required.
  • Small Account Service Representative - Responsibilities include reviewing, quoting, processing and servicing small account business, responding to customer questions and requests and communicating coverage and selling points effectively in an effort to sell insurance for the agency.
  • Associate Producer – This sales position consists of developing a database of prospects within a specific industry, making cold calls, collecting insurance expiration dates and selling insurance over the phone. This job does not require travel on a weekly basis but there may be opportunities to visit clients, participate in associations and attend conferences

Sales Enhancement

The individual will set up visits with and make sales calls to agencies that have the business we want. This person will make outbound calls on behalf of USLI and/or our Wholesale customer. The process is carried out through internet research, networking, verbal communication, establishing retailer visits and optional travel upon completion of the marketing and role play process.

Lead and direct Instant Quote/Private Label Underwriting team members in achieving our team fundamentals of underwriting integrity and call consistency. Execute the Department plan within the team in the selection and pricing of new risks. Implement, monitor and adjust as necessary, a detailed business plan for your team that will ensure a 100% effort in communicating our team story. Develop underwriting staff by establishing, monitoring and adjusting as necessary, an annual Training and Development Plan for each underwriter.

Underwriters – Trainee

Successful candidate will enter an extensive and intensive training program designed to teach the proper selection and pricing of risks in accordance with company objectives, underwriting guidelines and fundamentals in order to achieve an underwriting profit. Training will include instruction on department-wide processes and workflows as well various computer applications supporting our business. Additional training will be provided relative to the ordering, review and processing of audits and inspections as well as the processing of both monetary and non-monetary endorsements. The training program will consist of initial training on individual topics followed by test scenarios and then live situations under the guidance of a coach and assistant coach. Upon completion of training on all products, candidate will be trained to effectively communicate our company and department story to our customers via role play scenarios.
